Garnacha San Román is one of the standout wines from Toro. Crafted by the esteemed winemaker Mauro García, who made his mark in this region after achieving success in Castilla y León (Bodegas Mauro), it fully showcases the potential of the local variety, the Tinta de Toro, thanks to an extensive 19-month maturation in French oak barrels. This is an intense wine with remarkable structure, pleasing to the palate and impossible to forget. While perfectly drinkable now, it will undoubtedly improve in the bottle over the next ten years.
