Josep Mata Capellades, with the assistance of his sons José and Antonio, created the Reserva Particular de Recaredo in 1962 with the original intention of conveying the delicacy and subtle complexity that a great long-aged cava can achieve. Reserva Particular de Recaredo embodies the essence of the Mediterranean, reflecting the limestone soils of eastern Penedès and showcasing the profound character of the oldest xarel·lo and macabeo vines.
This wine is mineral and complex, brimming with inner vitality and a long, lingering finish. It is a Brut Nature, entirely dry and crafted without the addition of expedition sugar. We recommend enjoying it at 10ºC, allowing the bottle to breathe for a few minutes before serving.
