El Pommard "Vaumoriens" is a red wine from Domaine Changarnier, a small family winery located in the village of Monthélie. With just 5 hectares spread across ten different appellations, they produce a mere 12 wines with a total output of fewer than 30,000 bottles. This particular wine comes from a small plot of 500 square metres, yielding only 400 bottles. It represents an extraordinary uniqueness, crafted in the highest part of Pommard, next to the renowned vineyard known as "Vignots".
This wine is elegant, sourced from relatively young vines at 18 years of age, yet it presents a density and finesse that is remarkable. It requires several years of bottle maturation before it can be truly appreciated. Traditionally produced, it is matured in wood for 12 months.
