Born from the ingenuity and vision of Bernardino Branca in 1845, this unique beverage was truly ahead of its time. This bitter alcoholic drink is crafted from a variety of herbs, including myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, and saffron, which are macerated in grape alcohol, filtered, and matured in oak barrels for a period ranging from 6 to 12 months. With an alcohol content of 39%, it boasts a dark colour and an intense aroma. Originally served solely as a digestif, it is now often enjoyed as an aperitif before or as a digestif after a meal.
