It is one of the first Russian vodka brands, established in 1894 by the Russian state, which held a monopoly on the commercial production of vodka in Russia. Production was interrupted (along with other high-alcohol beverages) due to the prohibition laws imposed at the start of the First World War. The brand was re-established in the subsequent Soviet Union in 1925. This Premium vodka is produced through triple distillation of grain alcohol, to which purified water, along with small amounts of bicarbonate and acetic acid, is added. It is a clear vodka, smooth with a straightforward and full-bodied flavour. The finish is fresh and dry. Undoubtedly, a true classic.
