A deep mahogany colour with golden reflections, this traditional wine from the Crown of Aragon showcases the unique characteristics of an aged oxidative wine from soleras. The Garnacha tinta, renowned for its high alcohol content, is macerated for 20 days. During its maturation in French oak barrels, a small portion of the wine is swapped out each year ("running the soleras") over a period of five years. The strong temperature contrasts and low humidity levels expedite the oxidation process. Finally, the wine from the last solera (the oldest wine) is filtered and bottled.
